christmas cards...tick

This week has gone far too fast with not enough ticked off my to do list.

Though one thing that I have done is to get my christmas cards sent off which is pleasing.

I'm always a fan of Paperchase cards,

but I used the designs below to send out to the people

I've had the pleasure of working with over the last year!

I though it was best to make the most of my back catalogue of Christmas designs!

Blue Christmas!

Another Christmas design from me...I was really pleased with these colours! Muted blues with turquoise and silver. I'm a very big fan of all tones of blue!

Lets Play Exhibition

I'm off on my way to London for the day today! Can't wait! Hoping to squeeze in seeing some shops for inspiration and shopping (including Anthropologie, Paperchase and Selfridges) as well as catching up with a super friend, brother and sister in law.

I've recently been doing some work for The Art Group, they are such an exciting company with lots of new projects. One being their Lets Play exhibition which is running this week....can't wait to have a look this afternoon.

Certainly be worth checking out this exhibition if you're in London over the next few days.

I've got that Friday feeling!

Work is pretty busy at the moment, full of exciting new things that I can't share with the blog world yet....

but am looking forward to when I can share!

But now....Hoorah its the weekend! no matter how much I'm enjoying my work I'm always glad of a couple of days off!

I'm going to Birmingham to see family and friends. Cannot wait!

Beer festival weekend!

Hoorah....time for the weekend! We're off to the Robin Hood Beer Festival at Nottingham Castle tonight. I'll be on the cider though...not a beer fan!

Our Wedding

After much delay I thought I would show off some of my wedding stationery and reception photos!

We got married back in June, it really was a great day....I know it wasn't but it feels like ages ago now. It is such a wonderful memory.

We hired a village hall for our wedding reception, which we transformed the day before thanks to a huge amount of help from family and friends.

Flowers were a key part of the decoration of the village hall, some home grown, some from the florist. We wanted a real jumble of colours giving a country garden feel.

My mum made lots and lots of bunting which really set the hall off!

I really enjoyed creating the stationery designs...although they were left far too last minute! but I was happy with the results and think they did fit in well with the look of our wedding.

I wonder if all fish have a three second memory?

chirpy trees

These trees are looking pretty excited that its Christmas! A while longer for us to wait for the festivities to begin though have noticed some cards have appeared in shops already!

This is an old design now, but I still like their little cheeky smiles!

A day trip to sunny Paris

On wednesday I had a day trip to Paris, we flew early from East Midlands airport and had a great time pottering around, we picked up some good reference. We managed to fit in going to Galeries Lafayette, Bon Marche, then a few little shops, and lunch of course!

It was soooo sunny....not a cloud in the sky!! Was lovely to be in Paris, I hadn't been for years....hopefully my next trip will be for a long weekend!

last week was such a busy week with briefs for childrens clothing

...so no time to post....And can't show you what I've been

working on til its instore in summer 2010.

I have got time this week to get on with work for Surtex

....starting with Masculine Birthday!

I am currently working on placecards and menus ready for a friends wedding this August.
