Its spring outside!

I'm working in the wrong season....busy working on christmas designs at the moment ready for my agent to take (and fingers crossed sell!) at Surtex!

Its coming round fast!

I seem to be really very busy this week, with a busy weekend ahead too.

All good though, means there's lots of new work being produced...

While in the Created in Birmingham shop in the Bullring at the weekend I spotted the Allsorts Colouring Book, featuring the work of Sarah Ray.

Her little characters look great, there's more to see on her blog.

A huge congratulations to everyone who ran in the London Marathon yesterday! I am always so in awe of these people who show the dedication and determination to run and train for a marathon!

Such a huge achievement and so much money raised for good causes.

A guy dressed as Fred Flintstone broke the world record for the fastest cartoon character!

Brummie weekend

I've had a lovely time in Birmingham over the weekend with my family.

Managed to squeeze in a trip to the Bullring on sunday,

introduced Ed to Yo!Sushi.....he loved it!

Also visited the Created In Birmingham shop in the Bullring shopping centre,

its great to see this place in such a noticeable spot among all the chain stores...which Birmingham is just brimming with!

I'd certainly recommend checking it out, full of variety of design based goods, from photography, screenprints, jewellery etc etc....the shop is there til the end of May.

'St George's Day'

Thanks to Lauren over at fattymoe I remembered it was St Georges Day today!

So here's my version of our English St George's Cross flag.

I haven't planned to do anything to mark the day.

Not even an English tea...Pizza for us tonight! my favourite!

another sunny weekend!

On saturday it felt like spring had passed us by and we were straight into summer! Not a cloud (or plane trail!) in sight! Even had my flip flops on for the first time!

I had a lovely time driving around in my fig.

On Saturday night we went to Newark with my in laws to a Rolling Stones tribute act gig....it certainly made for a funny evening!!

The line up has been announced but a lot of it doesn't mean much to me

as I feel very out of touch with the new music world since I've converted to radio 2!

But I'm still excited about wandering about (in the sun! hopefully) seeing and hearing new things.

3 wishes...

If I had a genie lamp to rub today I would wish....

1. that I could run 12k in 1hour 15minutes! (I'm in training for a 'fun' run!)

2. for the MPs to stop taking over the news with their playground tactics

3. and to win a sunny holiday

another long weekend

Its been a busy few days....its been great....

with lots of long drives in the sun I visited two new babies, ate ice cream, saw some Kune Kune piglets, got some new shoes, went wedding dress shopping with my newly engaged best friend, went out to eat a huge pizza and then danced my saturday night away.

AND the sun was kindly shining.

Now back to work....hope you all enjoyed the sunshine where you are this weekend.
