Wave, new for Spring 2010

'Wave' is a new girls babywear range available to buy in store and online
now for spring at Mamas and Papas.
I worked on the graphics for this range while one of their
talented in house designers created the garments.
See here to see more of the range.

Its always so brilliant to see designs that I've worked on in store on such lovely garments!
Check here and here to see some great Mamas and Papas products that my super designer friend Nikki has worked on.

Anna Raymond

I'm feeling good after an afternoon of sorting! My office was getting in a real mess....all better now! Ready for a very productive tomorrow!

While sorting I found some old postcards (see blue image: top left) so I checked out the artist.
Really love this work, all by Anna Raymond...see more here...I like her website too.

London 2012

I'm excited about the Olympics in London and I was very pleased to see this website
The build up is well and truly on so I thought I'd go with it and put my touch on the logo!
Not sure how Mr Olympics Sebastian Coe would feel about it though! Bit girly!

A must see....

I went to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D on friday! It was super...I didn't know the story at all so was all new too me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So much wonderful imagery to take in....the characters were great with such fantastic costumes.
I heard that Tim Burton got so used to seeing his wife with a large head that he found it strange seeing her at home normal size.

The first step.....Lino cutting!

I've been thinking of getting in lino cutting for a little while now...since I carved my halloween pumpkins with my old lino cutting tools.
I used to love it at school and I'm really quite excited at the prospect of creating something brand new without the use of my computer!
This morning I popped out to get some equipment to add to the tools I've already have....BUT I'm missing a roller! I thought I still had one around left from all those old
A-level projects many moons ago so I'm not going to get very far today!

Will keep you posted with my new creations...I can't wait to get to work!
Oh...any printing ink/paint tips are welcome! My local art shop had very limited colours!

Exit through the Gift Shop

Due to the ridiculous queues thanks to Orange wednesday at Cineworld I didn't get to see Alice in Wonderland as hoped last night. Instead we headed to the Broadway cinema and watched my second choice: Exit through the Gift Shop. It was very enjoyable, would certainly recommend it. Great to get an insight into the world of graffiti, hear from Banksy and be entertained by the crazy Thierry Guetta aka Mr. Brainwash.
From the film I have mixed emotions about Thierry's success...financially it seems undeniable but I'm unsure as to whether he warrants being put in the same box as Banksy.
But hey thats just me!
Here's a piece from Banksy that did on the West Bank barrier in Israel.
His work is certainly so often brave in location and the artwork amusing and/or poignant.

I think I'm a Banksy fan.
So come and leave some graffiti on my wall Banksy...please!
I promise I won't reveal your identity!

here's a fact....

Spring is on its way...the days are getting longer, the sun has been out this week and the flowers are starting to sprout up! Very nice indeed!!

ABC pjs!

I hadn't been to Sainsburys for a little while until last week so it was very nice to see this artwork I created for Tu clothing in a 2 pack of girls pjs!
Applique and print has worked well together I think!

Aminal Dolls

I found this very charming website through a blog I can't remember the name of!
But KickcanandConkers have a lovely post on them too...see here
Aminals sell soft creatures and people with a very childlike feel....lovely idea.
Love the little description that comes with each toy.

hoot hoot!

I've been working on Christmas designs again....
here's a little wintery owl who has no idea spring is on its way!

Bugs from Monica Tsang

I spotted this lovely dinnerware set recently....really fun I think and classic at the same time.
I've noticed there's quite a few bugs about in kidswear lately...so these creepy crawlies are getting about!

Monica Tsang seems to be a very talented lady...I really love this stacked cup:
