another sunny weekend

(sorry...the weekend post is a little belated)
It was so sunny this weekend in London...I had a great time visiting friends and family.
On sunday I had the pleasure of going to Columbia Road flower market for the first time. It was brilliant, the shops around there are just gorgeous...I could have spent so much money! I restricted myself to a few things...including some plates for my wall at home. This is me in my fav t-shirt and necklace with the start of my plate wall...I want more and more, think its going to be fun adding to this collection!
(1. vintage plate by Hanley, 2. and 3. Melamine plates by Thomas Paul, 4. vintage saucer, 5. plaque by Bjorn Wiinblad)

Toshiyuki Fukuda

What a find! I absolutely love the work by this artist, Toshiyuki Fukuda.
I'd not heard of this artist before until I found an interview with him on a website that I now can't find! which is quite frustrating as I'd like to know more about him.
I do know that Toshiyuki is from Japan and has had his artwork published on a variety of products from cards to calendars, books to film posters. See here
If anyone has anymore info I'd love to hear it....and to buy one of his prints!

Our Wedding

After much delay I thought I would show off some of my wedding stationery and reception photos!
We got married back in June, it really was a great day....I know it wasn't but it feels like ages ago now. It is such a wonderful memory.
We hired a village hall for our wedding reception, which we transformed the day before thanks to a huge amount of help from family and friends.
Flowers were a key part of the decoration of the village hall, some home grown, some from the florist. We wanted a real jumble of colours giving a country garden feel.
My mum made lots and lots of bunting which really set the hall off!
I really enjoyed creating the stationery designs...although they were left far too last minute! but I was happy with the results and think they did fit in well with the look of our wedding.

a sunny weekend

This is me! tending to my new garden pots which were freshly planted over the weekend while wearing my new leggings!
I had a lovely weekend pottering about in the late summer sun....shopping for new Autumn clothes, gardening, having family visitors and jogging by the river!

my fig!

I thought I'd introduce my little car....the fig. It's a Nissan Figaro.
I've had it for two years now and feel very fortunate to be the proud owner!
It was the perfect choice for our wedding car in June, it cleaned up very nicely!

Christmas ....again!

I'm aware it can get Christmassy on my blog at random times of the year....
But it really can be festive work for me anyday of the year!
Was strange at first but now feels like the norm!

Boo!

Halloween is going to be here before we know it!
There's already products coming instore....
We're no where near as big on Halloween here in the UK, like they are in America but think we might be gradually catching up! Very gradually!
Saw some Happy Halloween greetings cards in John Lewis at the weekend.

chirpy trees

These trees are looking pretty excited that its Christmas! A while longer for us to wait for the festivities to begin though have noticed some cards have appeared in shops already!
This is an old design now, but I still like their little cheeky smiles!
